Participants Needed for Photo Project

Hi folks!

I am looking for participants for a new photo-story I'm doing, please read below for details, ask your friends and please get in touch if you know someone appropriate.

I'm doing a photo project on young unemployed/under-employed people and to what extent the current recession & government are shaping their expectations & career prospects.

For more details please go to the facebook event here or continue reading.

I'm looking for young unemployed people to interview and take pictures of, or young people who are under-employed (i.e. stuck in low-pay/low-skill jobs, or doing less challenging work than they are looking for/capable of) or even just people who have taken a different career route than what they expected they would because of the state of the economy. Or maybe just young people who have a strong opinion about this and would like to take part!

By 'young' I don't just mean 16-24 year olds, in fact I would also encourage people older than that to participate, because I feel there are a lot of people who were entering the jobs market right at the beginning of this recession which was several years ago, and are still affected by it.

If you don't think you know anyone who fits the bill exactly that's ok, you could still know someone who is good for this project. Some examples of people I've already photographed include:

- People moving to another country because there are better opportunities for employment outside the UK
- Someone who is still in work, but who has had far less days work because of the recession
- People with university education supporting themselves through bar work and administration jobs

One more thing: I'm based in London, but if someone outside London wants to take part please get in touch and we'll try to work something out.

Thanks!
